Who in the world

Hello, Hello. My name, as you can see everywhere, is Sergio (Sempere) and as you may suspect I'm not a soccer star but an artist. I use this little (and free) blog to upload my personal works from time to time. By now don't expect to see extensively overworked models or pictures here because I can't expend a month on just one. But don't worry I will try to do my best in order to make you entertain.

About myself.... My actual job is on the children book market. We, Laura and me, have been working during some years on many many books. Cute things. You can take an appetizer on our official website here: www.thePAPERkids.com. I should be warning you that it may cause a sudden "happiness attack". I also like to play the keyboard and compose some music... heck! I even have a website with some of my songs, but as by now it sounds frankly bad I will keep them on secret, what a flush!

About this blog just comment that I minimized the blog part and enlarged the picture part, so no comments or fancy right bars. But that doesn't meant that I don't want to hear from you, oh please! You can find my email up-top, yes, right on the banner. Send me as many questions, opinions and even criticisims as you like, I will try to reply as soon as time permits. That's it, so no more chatting and scroll down.

LittleVamp! (W.I.P.)

Software: Silo, Zbrush and Modo

Kneel before Zod!!! (W.I.P.01)

Here it's something different. The idea was to do a toylike head, something in the line of the new NHL figures that *brand* put recently on the market. I really like them. I used zbrush flatten brush to achieve the sharper angles/planes and a quick polypaint pass to give him a little bit of color. And of course, the renders are some quick zb screenshots. By the way, the characters has a some likeness to General Zod. Kneel before Zod!!!

SkullSoldier (W.I.P.02)

Zbrush Renders of this model prepared for test a new 3Dprint service. I did the grid/pattern on the pants following a great tip I learned fron one of the many great teachers you can find on the internet. With it you can translate an alpha/bump texture to real mesh detail on zb. As you know 3d printers only print real geometry, no maps allowed. ..So it's double Great!

SkullSoldier (W.I.P.01)

A little update to the SkullSoldier model. It's almost ready for the Hifrequency details.
The boot plates and belt details that were on the previous zbrush renders were disabled on those subtools layers.

Peek-a-boo!

Ghost Head Concept modeled in Silo/Zbrush and rendered on Hypershot to try it out, everythind salted with some serious Photoshop work all over. The Background is a photo of a dark alley. Some years ago, when the first Biohazard came out for the PSX, they said that the first zombi´s eyes you found on the mansion were scanned from a real corpse!!! Scary...
